Old Boots & Poppy

Favorite Web Cams

One of the zillions of things that we find quite useful, and sometimes very entertaining, are our Alaskan webcams. We show a couple of webcams that may even give the observer a brief glimpse of Alaska's world renown, long distance sled dog races through Fairbanks, or perhaps Dawson City, Yukon, Canada. At any time during any particular day, a webcam can deliver a recent and sometimes instant state of reality from some part of the world that the observer may never get to experience in person. For those friends who live in Alaska, we want to provide some interesting and useful webcams from one centralized location. For those friends who do not live in Alaska, the webcams will prove interesting and reveal a little about our beautiful state.

Please know that with the conversion to our old Old Boots and Poppy web site, our sharing of live webcams from other external web sites has been prohibited until we obtain individual permissions to do so. As a web site that shares original art, stories, and other works on behalf of our viewers, for our viewers, we understand the need and desire to adhere to the copyright laws and to protect all on-line proprietary photos, videos, data, and other incorporated web site materials (See our Terms of Use and Service for more about this topic on our web site). We therefore will be working to take care of this problem so that our viewers may again have a centralized location for observing some of the many amazing Alaskan webcams with the convenience of one source page. In the meantime, we present a snapshot from each webcam site as a visual enticer, along with an informational link to the actual webcam. I guess you can say that we’re still a centralized site for finding links to the Alaskan webcams from one source page but accessed through jump links instead.

Thank you for your understanding...
